A proven and experienced entrepreneur, Steve, along with his brother, Tom, founded and transformed a start-up wireless service provider into a $500 million enterprise before selling it to a Fortune 500 company in 2008. That experience reinforced in him the importance of commitment, persistence, and integrity — lessons he first learned from his father, a lieutenant in the Army who fought in World War II.
As a tribute to his father and out of a desire to create real economic and employment opportunities for Veterans, Steve, along with Kevin Traynor, founded Military Veteran Partners. Their first investment in JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, a Veteran-focused franchise organization, convinced Steve that Veterans represent a vast and underappreciated talent pool, if only they had access to capital, know-how, and mentorship. Military Veteran Partners was born to accomplish that mission.
