Kevin Traynor holds 30 years of management, deal-making, and startup experience. As an entrepreneur, Kevin served as Principal and Partner of a Philadelphia-based real estate investment with 12 million square feet of commercial and industrial real estate holdings valued at $1.5 billion. The company was sold in 2008, and the same management and partner team went on to start Preferred Sands, which they grew into one of North America’s largest manufacturers and distributors of fracturing sand. The company was named one of the nation’s fastest growing companies by Inc. magazine and Deloitte.
Kevin is driven by a deep-rooted passion for social entrepreneurship. Prior to founding Military Veteran Partners with Steve Cloetingh, Kevin ran a successful consulting business to assist B Corp companies to manage the challenges of startup and growth. For him, the Military Veteran Partners mission is personal. Kevin was born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina while his father, a first lieutenant in the Army, served during Vietnam. Kevin’s grandfather, too, served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps.
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Structural and Civil Engineering from Drexel University. He is a Board member at The Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, PA and President of the Kevin Traynor, Sr. Foundation, named after his father.
Kevin, his wife Beth, and five sons live in Downingtown, PA.
